Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre offers a comprehensive

Semi Private Coverage: provides
payment for semi private room in hospital
Extended Health Care: is designed to assist
members in paying for specified services and supplies not
provided under the provincial government health plan such
as private room in hospital, prescription drugs, prosthetic
appliances, medical equipment, private nursing, massage therapy,
vision care, hearing aid, to name a few.
Dental Care: provides for reimbursement of basic, restorative and orthodontic services, subject to some maximums.

Group Life Insurance: provides
financial protection to your beneficiary in the event of death
while employed with the TBRHSC.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment: provides additional financial protection over and above the group life insurance to your beneficiary in the event of accidental death while employed with TBRHSC. A sum of financial protection is offered should dismemberment happen while employed with TBRHSC.
Sick Leave: short-term disability provides
income protection during the 1st 15 weeks of an illness or
injury.
Long Term Disability: provides income protection after 30 weeks of disability of an illness or injury.
Employee and Employer contributions are invested to provide

Vacation: most professional vacation entitlements starts at three weeks with additional time accrued based on years of service.
Holidays: provided are 9
Statutory Holidays, plus 3 which vary depending on union
4 over 5 Leave: provides the opportunity to work 4 years at a reduced income to provide a 5th year paid for reasons such as education, personal development, etc.
Maternity, Parental Leave: a supplemental benefit is available to eligible employees
