dr_howse Click to listen to this page using ReadPleaseDr. David Howse is a clinical neurologist currently in practice in Thunder Bay. He did his undergraduate medical education followed by neurology training at the University of Toronto and received this Fellowship in 1970. He then did three years of post-fellowship training at Cornell University Medical College in the field of cerebral metabolism.

 

Dr. Howse joined the neurology staff at Queen's University in 1973 where he practiced for 30 years. At Queen's, he was Chair of the Division of Neurology for 13 years and more recently Medical Director of the South Eastern Ontario Regional Stroke Program. In the education field, he was responsible for the undergraduate neurosciences program at Queen’s Medical School for 10 years. Within the academic program, he was involved as principal investigator or co-investigator in a variety of neuroscience research programs in the field of epilepsy, hypoxic brain damage, headache and stroke.

 

In August 2003, Dr. Howse moved to Thunder Bay as Medical Director of the Northwestern Ontario Regional Stroke Program along with the practice of general adult neurology.
