Prime
Minister Stephen Harper visited Thunder Bay Regional Health
Sciences Centre on Tuesday, April 19. During the visit, the
Prime Minister visited the PET/CT in the Cancer Centre and
made an announcement that reaffirmed the Federal Government’s
commitment to support a cyclotron for TBRHSC. The cyclotron
would be used to produce medical isotopes for medical imaging.
Isotopes are used with the PET/CT to help find cancer.
The Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute in partnership
with Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre were very
