The Volunteer Association to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences
Centre exists to support the patients and staff of TBRHSC.
Since 1999, the Volunteer Association has raised $368,200.00
towards the purchase of medical equipment such as: infant
warmers, epidural pumps, bladder scanners, hemodialysis machine,
vital sign monitors, bed systems, stretchers and wheelchairs.
They have also just completed a $500,000 commitment to the
Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit. A total of $868,200 has been
raised by a powerful group of dedicated care givers over a
period of six years!
The Foothills Brass Quintet
This group of five talented musicians is celebrating its 25th
Anniversary this very year. They have just completed a North
American tour of Southern Ontario, Maritime Provinces and
Florida. Their toe-tapping show Bourbon Street to Broadway
will take us on a musical journey through the beginnings of
Jazz, Dixieland, Ragtime, Blues and Swing. Audiences will
be inspired by the sounds of the greatest jazz composers,
such as George Gershwin and Jelly Roll Morton. Classic favourites
include, “Alexander’s Ragtime Band”, “Mac
the Knife”, and the “Entertainer”. Delight
in the Broadway tunes such as “Ain’t Misbehavin”,
“Ol Man River” and Henri Mancini’s famous
“Pink Panther”.
Join the fun. Get your tickets soon and support the Volunteer
Association to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
