Car Seats (damaged, post manufacturer’s “best
before date” or recalled)
Proper use of car safety seats keeps children safe. Nonuse
or misuse of proper safety restraints in vehicles contributes
to needless injuries and deaths. Selecting the correct car
seat depends on your child’s height and weight.
 |
Keep your child safe by:
- replacing any car seat that has been involved in a car crash
- if there is no expiry date on the car seat, replace it
- replace any car seat that is 10 years old or older
- select the correct sized car seat for your child
- complete the registration/warranty card and return it to
the manufacturer to ensure you are contacted in case of a
recall
- follow the manufacturer’s instructions for correct
installation
- ensure the car seat has a Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety
Standards (CMVSS) sticker on it.
