Food for Patient meals and snacks is prepared fresh by certified
cooks and trained staff, using the cook/chill method. Meals
are based on a non-selective menu cycle. Food Service Supervisors
and a Dietitian manage the Food Service operation to ensure
food is of quality, nutritious and safe, and that it complies
with special diet prescriptions. If you have food preferences
that comply to your diet, they can be relayed to your primary
care provider/nurse, or to a Nutrition and Food Services staff
delivering or picking up your trays. Inform your nurse immediately
if you have food allergies. If you are on a special diet that
your physician has ordered, your meals and snacks will be
adjusted to comply with the diet.

Patient breakfast is delivered between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., lunch between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and supper between 4:30

Each unit is equipped with a pantry kitchenette, stocked
with items for patient consumption. To limit risk, unmarked
and outdated items in the pantry fridge will be discarded.
The Cafeteria provides full-service for family members and
visitors. |
