The 41-bed hospital offers acute, chronic and long-term care. Dentists and family physicians practice at the hospital and associated clinics, assisted by a team of nurses, lab technicians, x-ray technicians and rehabilitation services (physiotherapy and speach-language) and pathology.
Specialists in many fields are available on a consulting basis in Thunder Bay and Winnipeg. AGH administers and operates based programs including a counseling and addiction program, diabetic counseling and ambulance services.
Ambulance service includes a full time compliment of 8 EMCA's
and a group of 6 EMCA or non-EMCA Primary Care Paramedics.
Regular clinics are held by a chiropractor and optometrist;
mobile units such as the Breast Screening Van and CNIB Van
also service the community.
