The Geraldton District Hospital is a progressive health care organization committed to providing high quality services to approximately 8,000 residents of Greenstone (Geraldton, Longlac, Nakina, Beardmore, Caramat) and First Nations communities. The original hospital was constructed in 1963 with extensive renovation and the addition of the Long term Care wing in 1989. An air ambulance medical heliport was added in 1986.
